In this lesson you
will learn how to ask about the place of objects, things and certain places.
You
will also learn the usage of prepositions.
Speaking Practice
Repeat the following sentences as many times. 
1- Where is it? : This sentence is used to ask about the
place of something.
2- Behind the door: This sentence is used to refer to the
place of an object or something a person is looking for and "behind"
means at the back.
3- In the cupboard: This sentence is used to refer to the
place of an object, which in this example is in the storing cupboard.
4- On the floor: This sentence is used to refer to the place
of an object, which in this example is above "on" the floor.
5- Under the table: This sentence is used to refer to the
place of an object, which in this example is in a lower position under the
table.
6- Into the garden: This sentence is used to refer to the
place of an object, which in this example is inside "into" the
garden.
7- Through the back door: This sentence is used to also refer to the
place of an object, in this example it is through the back door and
"through" means from one end or side of something.
8- North: This noun refers to the direction which goes
towards the part of the Earth above the equator.
9- South: This noun refers to the
direction which goes towards the part of the Earth below the equator.
10- East: This noun refers to the
direction from which the sun rises in the morning.
11- West: This noun refers to the
direction in which the sun goes down in the evening.
12- I can't see it on the map: This
sentence is used to express that you can't find a certain place on the map.
13- It is ninety kilometers west of
London: This sentence is used to tell a person the exact directions on a map
and also the exact distance in kilometers.
14- Let's go to the new forest: This
sentence is used to offer to go to the forest.
15- It is near the sea: This
sentence is used to describe the position of a place. This in this example is
close to the sea.
16-where are you going on holiday? :
This question is used to ask about the place where a person is going to for a
holiday vacation.
17- I am going to a small village in
the south: This sentence is used to give details about the place that you
intend to go to.
