Intermediate English Lesson 33: Please Stop

  In this lesson you will learn certain sentences and phrases that are said in governmental, public, and different places like a gas station or a company. Note that it is usually used to speak about something someone asks you to do.


1-  What does he want? : This sentence is used when a person asks you to do something and you are not sure what it is exactly; note that in this situation you ask another person to explain to you what he wants you to do exactly.
2-  He wants you to fill in these forms: This sentence is used to explain to someone what another person wants in details.
3- Shall I fill them in for you: This sentence is used to offer your help or assistance to fill a certain paper or report for someone.
4-  Would you please stop: This sentence is used to ask someone to stop a certain action he or she is doing like writing or making noise.
5- Will you please stop? : This sentence is also used to ask someone to stop and cease a certain action he or she is doing.
6-  Please tell him to be quite: This sentence is used to ask someone to tell another person to do something, here it is not a direct order from you to a person it is through a third person you ask to tell another.
7- Now what is the matter? : This sentence is used to ask someone what is wrong or what the problem is in a polite way.
8-  She wants me to fill in this form: This sentence is used to explain what a certain person wants you to do.
9-  I will do it for you: This sentence is used to offer help.
10-  It is alright I will do it: This sentence is used to confirm to someone that it is ok and you can do the action, usually used when someone offers you his or her help with a certain action.
11-   He wants to know if his car is ready: This sentence is used to tell someone what a certain person wants to know. So you are basically transferring the word.
12-  Tell him I have just finished it: This sentence is used to ask someone to tell a certain person something.
13-  He wants you to check the oil too: This sentence is used to tell someone what a certain person said like additional detail.
