Intermediate English Lesson 35: Where can I get a good car?

In this lesson you will learn to ask for advice and opinions of other people to recommend a service or a certain place to you like a restaurant, this is usually need it when you are new to the place and you don’t know where is the best places and the high value services are offered.


1-  Where can I get a good car? : This sentence is used to ask someone’s opinion to tell you the right place to be a car from.
2-  Where can I get some flowers? : This sentence is used to ask for a person’s opinion or recommendation to advice you with the right place to by flowers from.
3- There is a flower shop at the end of the road: This sentence is used to tell someone the place of a certain shop.
4- Can you recommend a good show? : This sentence is used to ask someone’s recommendation about a certain show, this is usually used in theatres when you go to watch a play or a show and you want someone to recommend a good one for you.
5- There is a very good play at the national theatre: This sentence is used to give information and recommendation about a certain play, note that when we refer to the place where a certain thing is in, we say “at”.
6- Where can I get my hair done? : This sentence is used to ask someone’s opinion to recommend a hair dresser shop for you.
7- How long are you staying here? : This sentence is used to ask a person about the exact period he or she is going to stay at a certain city or place.
8-  Is there a bookshop in here? : This sentence is used to ask about a certain shop.
9-  Do you like comedies? : This sentence is used to ask a person about the type of movies or plays he or she likes in order to recommend one for them, the types are comedy, drama and action.
10- We booked the hotel for you: This sentence is used to tell someone that you made a reservation at a hotel for them.
11- There is a nice souvenir shop at the hotel: This sentence is used to recommend a certain shop to a person.a
