This lesson from the series easy English is to teach you how to make questions and requests about general and simple information in everyday conversations.
1- Can I help you? : is used when you want to ask someone if you could assist or
help them.
2- Can you help me? : is used when you need help and request it from someone.
3- Yes, of course: is used to confirm the request you have been asked that you will do it.
4- Yes, I can: is also used to confirm your approval to do the task or the request you have been asked to do.
5- Can I set here? : It is a polite way used to request permission to set in a certain place by the owner of the place or the teacher for instance in a class room.
6- Please do: it is also a polite way to answer a question as an approval.
7-Please don’t get up: It is used when you see someone is standing up usually as respect for you and you appreciate their gesture so you politely and respectfully ask them not to do that.

8- Shall we go to the cinema? : It is used when you propose or suggest something to do or a place to go to.
9- Will you take this, please: It is used to offer to give something to someone a ticket or a gift for example.
10- Would you follow me, please? : It is used when you request from someone or a group of people to follow you to lead them to the right direction.
11- Can you drive a car? : It is used to ask someone if he or she is able to drive.
12- Can he speak English? : It is used to ask about someone’s language if he is able to communicate in this language or not.
13- Can you handle it? : It is used when you ask someone if he or she can deal with a certain situation or a certain task.
14- Are you serious? : it is used when you hear something that you can’t believe or surprised to hear it and want to confirm it so you ask the speaker if he or she is serious about it and not kidding or joking.
