Easy English: Where are they?

This lesson is teaching you how to easily ask and answer questions about people to know where a certain person is or where a group of people are.

1-They’re at the Grand Hotel: This sentence is used when someone asks about the place where a group of people are.

2- She isn’t in her room: This sentence is used when someone asks about a female person and wants to know whether she is or isn’t in her room.

3- They aren’t in their room.

4- She’s (has) gone to the cinema: This sentence is used when you want to say that someone has already left and gone to the cinema.

5- Will you stay at home? : This sentence is used to ask someone if he or she is going to stay at home or will he or she leaves.

6- There is a man at the door: This sentence is used when you want to announce that there is a male person at the door waiting.

7- Someone is at the door: This sentence is used to announce that someone that you don’t know is at the door could be a male or female.

8- Where have you been? : This question is used when you see someone and you don’t know where he or she was and wants to ask them where they have been.

9- Ken is good at swimming: This sentence is used when you want to tell about someone’s good skill or hobby.

10- What did she buy at the shop: This sentence is used to ask about the object a person bought and you want to know what exactly was it, notice that we always use (AT) with the place for example: at home..at school..at the shop.

11- I am good at Japanese: This sentence is used when you want to say which language you are good at.
