Easy English 07: What’s This and What’s That?
In this easy English lesson you will learn how to ask about one thing or multiple things whether it’s near or far from you and will also learn how to ask about length, age, and height.
Speaking Practice
2- It’s (is) a bottle: This sentence is used when someone asks you “what is this?” and you answer.
3- What are these? : This sentence is used to ask about two or more things (plural) that are also near to you.
4- They’re Cigarettes: This sentence is used when someone asks you “what are these” and you answer.
5- How old is it: This sentence is used when you want to ask about the age of something.
6- It’s nine hundred (900) years old: This sentence is used to tell the age of something in years, months or days.
7- How long is it? : This sentence is used to ask about the length of something.
8- It’s three hundred thirty eight (338) kilometers long: This sentence is used to tell the length of something in meters or kilometers.
9- How high is it? : This sentence is used to ask about the height of something.
10- It’s ninety eight (98) meters high: This sentence is used to tell the height of something in meters.
11- How old is your father? : This sentence is used to ask about the age of someone.
