Easy English Lesson 23: What would you like to do?

  In this lesson you will learn how to ask and answer various questions about activities or needs and opinions about what someone would like to do. You will also learn how to ask for details during 

travelling.

Speaking Practice

Repeat the following sentences many times.

1- What would you like to do? : This sentence is used when asking someone what they like to do, usually refer to any activity.

2- Would you like to go there? :  This sentence is used when asking for someone's opinion.

3- I'd (would) like to go there: This sentence is used when you want to give your opinion about going somewhere.

4- What do you want to do? : This sentence is used to ask someone also about what they want to do to ask for their ideas or opinions.

5- I want to play chess: This sentence is used to express your opinion about what you want to do.

6- It's easy: This sentence is used to refer to something as an easy and not difficult.

7- I can park here easily: This sentence is used to confirm that you are able to put your car in the parking place easily.

8- It isn't difficult: This sentence is another way of saying that it is easy usually used when you are talking about a certain thing that needs ability like running or playing chess.

9- You can't go in here: This sentence is used to refer that someone should not do a certain thing, usually used when it is not allowed to tell people that it can't be done like parking in front of hospitals.

10- You have to go in there: This sentence is used to express certainty and obligation.

11- Where would you like to go? : This sentence is used to ask someone about their opinion about a place and where they would like to go.

12-I want to go to Italy: This sentence is used to express the destination where you want to go.

13- Where would you like to go in Italy? : This sentence is used to ask for more details and here it is to ask for the exact city.

14- When do you want to go? : This sentence is also used to ask for details about the exact time a person wants to go or leave, usually used while booking a ticket to travel.

15- Can I buy a ticket here? : This sentence is used to ask for information when you are not sure from where exactly you can buy a ticket to travel.

16- I would like a flight in the morning: This sentence is used to give more details about what you 

want and here it refers to the exact time of the day you would like to travel in.
